Release Notes is our monthly update as to what is going on with Volcanic product development. This is an easy way to stay up to date with all the great work we are doing!
Each month we highlight new features, improvements and fixes we are making to the platform. We are also working hard on lots of other items that may not always be visible: like our security, infrastructure, API and job search functionality. Some months we release more work than others, which is the nature of product development.
We have been asked by a number of our clients to have editable images on their disciplines pages. These are the icons or images that your users click to view different areas in which you recruit. The key request was to have these images 'change' when a user hovers over them.
Previously, we used to hardcode this for each website, meaning it head to be requested. This took time and wasn't efficient.
We have now changed this so that you are able to add a second, different 'hover' image to your disciplines.
We were asked by a client that specialised in medical recruitment to build specific functionality relating to their industry.A large part of their business is filling Locum positions, which are very date specific; i.e when a doctor is needed to cover another doctor's vacation.
The functionality requested (and that we launched of course!) allows candidates to filter/view jobs based on their start and end date, which is perfect for roles where job cover is required i.e. locum or maternity cover).
We have extended our functionality to now allow this feature for all jobs and can also take this information from Broadbean.
Depending on the types of roles you recruit for, this is a great bit of functionality for your candidates. Temporary, interim and contract recruiters, in particular, will benefit
