Our Spotlight this week is on Project Recruit, whose website went live earlier this month. We spoke with Sahir Patel, Business Development Manager, to learn more about Project Recruit and how he has already seen a difference in his new recruitment website.

A boutique recruitment consultancy, Project Recruit was founded in 2007 by their MD Rose McCarter, who wanted to bring a positive change to the recruitment industry. They are situated in Shoreditch - London’s up and coming ‘Tech City’, which is apt, as their focus is on the core disciplines like the Multilingual Market, Financial Sectors and FinTech. The company has grown rapidly year on year and it set to continue to flourish. Building relationships with both candidates and clients is essential for Project Recruit, as they can create a successful solution. By understanding their clients and their business objectives, Project Recruit are able to produce in-depth recruitment project plans, personal specifications and job descriptions. This builds up trust and subsequently their candidates can rely on Project Recruit to provide them with accurate and full information, working with them to find their ideal role.

When talking about the challenges faced in recruitment, Sahir discussed:

“I’d say the main change in recruitment is the shift from it being client driven to candidate driven. Around Q4 of 2014 was when we really felt the change – we are recruiting more jobs than ever and we are now using more creative methods to reach the high-calibre talent. At Project Recruit, 90% of our placements are interim roles, and the market is so busy, we know that we will be able to place that candidate with a new client as soon as their contract comes to an end.”

Sahir’s role prior to working at Project Recruit was heading up an online publication and a job board - both being built by Volcanic; he was actually our first client! So, when the time came to overhaul the Project Recruit website he knew where to go and hasn’t been disappointed:

“As always it was a pleasure working with the team, Matt [Director] was helpful as he always is, not only with delivery but also insights and ideas on design and functionality. It was good to work with Josh [Account Manager] and have another main point of contact as there was someone always there when I needed them. I had a very clear concept of how I wanted the site to look and the design brief was matched perfectly, we are all very happy with the outcome. Our unique visits are increasing and page sessions are also around x4 improved against our old site which has surpassed my expectations.”

Building the brand image and Project Recruit ethos was paramount for Sahir:

“In terms of the way it looks, it’s very slick. It instils a level of trust for both clients and candidates, especially improving our brand and making us look like the credible company we are. The redesign and the branding were extremely important to us, it was one of the main drivers.”

At Volcanic, our highly experienced design team work with our clients to meet their exact design briefs, making sure their dream becomes a reality. We understand how important branding was for Project Recruit and we worked with them until they were completely happy; building up a great working relationship in the process and a smooth integration with BroadBean and the FutureLink CRM.

Thank you to Sahir and everyone at Project Recruit for choosing Volcanic. We look forward to continuing working with you and to ensure that your website keeps delivering for you.
